The Manor House

I was anxious to show my daughter the beautiful, historic village of Ashby St Legers two miles away and as I didn’t feel up to a walk we drove there. The Manor House was the home of Robert Catesby and the timbered building above the arch was where the Gunpowder Plotters decided to employ Guy Fawkes to blow up parliament. It’s a magnificent village and when I feel better I will walk round and visit the ancient church.
