Squirrel again...

...and later two (again) on the yard. They seem to eat the maple seed, which is good. The maples multiply too much anyway.

Today was the day to get the cattle in. Still some preparations to do in the morning, then a quick lunch before five staff members from the heifers' home farm came to help. It didn't go as well as I hoped for this time. We got most of them in within a reasonable time, but there were a few who made it difficult. One of the bigger ones pushed herself through the line of bales that I had set up to lead to the door, and then on to the next field. Got her back to the starting point, back to the door and in soon, but then there were four left, all of them this summer's arrivals. Two of them gave up soon, and then one, but the last one took a long time. Still had to sort a few things out, clean up things etc. before I could even feed the lot. By the time I had the chance to have my afternoon coffee, it was four and a half hours since lunch break, and it seems my post-Covid condition is anything but good and I was quite exhausted.

While the lunch break had been short, the coffee break was quite long, and Jussi came to help with the evening feeding. Back home after it, I remembered the SMS from ag administration telling that I should report the areas that remain not ploughed the coming winter no later than on Thursday. I had thought it would be next Monday... Well, better do it today anyway. Before 8 pm I was really in need of a good sauna, and that's what I got.
