Red admiral

The weather today was lovely and produced a blip I didn't think I would be getting anymore this year. While down the yard checking some timber and spotted this lovely fine Red admiral enjoying the lovely sunshine. I didn't think I would be able to manage getting a good shot on my mobile but I did manage to get fairly close and grab a coupe of shots which I then cropped down this was the best of the 2 the other had a bit of a blurred wing.
Blip sorted it was back to counting a bit more timber . After work a trip to Tesco and then home in the dark the evenings sure are closing in.
More rugby league tonight a very entertaining  game PNG v Cook Island , just waiting for a text from Julie to say she is ready to be picked up .
