Greyfriars Kirkyard
BB is still off school and I also had today off as we had dentist appointments in Edinburgh. Unlike the last time we went into Edinburgh, we both managed to travel on the same bus. We had a little time to spare when we got there, so did a little shopping before we headed to the dentist. This took us past The Dome, which is bedecked with its Christmas decorations. All good at the dentist for both of us. No problems, but both were told to take more care when brushing our teeth.
We then wandered down to Stockbridge and had a look around a few shops, before walking along the Water of Leith to Dean Village. We then made our way up to the west end where we had pizza for lunch to make up for the disappointment of last Friday. We continued our wander and called in to see TT at work – but he was chairing a Teams meeting so was unable to sneak off with us for a cuppa, so we just made our way back to Princes Street and caught our bus home. It was lovely wandering around Edinburgh like tourists.
BB was supposed to get back to his essay, but in fact fell asleep on the sofa. I went to make tea and realised that I had used my leeks in the soup yesterday, so had to pop out for some more. I then made smoked haddock and leek risotto which was well received. BB had football training and TT sent me out in the dark to look at a house which is decorated for Halloween! BB sat up till goodness knows when allegedly working on the essay.
Edinburgh was looking lovely in the sunshine today. The extra is Dougray Scott. We had to stop and wait for some filming to take place. It’s for a TV series called Crime and is written by Irvine Welsh. Having googled it, this will be series 2. Series 1 passed me by unnoticed.
