May Day as it should be...big parade, town band, flags, carabineri at attention. The band played the anthem of the Italian Resistance, and this old guy shed a few tears. It was very moving. It seems that this area of Tuscany was the heartland of the communist resistance against the Nazi occupation, had had a reallt bad time throughout.
