Well Known!

It hasn't  been a very good day, weather-wise.  A day of sunshine and long periods of rain.  Very windy, so it will be interesting to see how much autumn colour will be left.  This is Ashness Bridge with a view to Derwentwater.  The top of Skiddaw is covered with low cloud with a hint of blue sky.  When I arrived there was a party of photographers all with tripod mounted cameras pointing the same way as this post!   By the time I had parked, they must have taken their photos, packed up and left.  Great to be there  admiring the view in solitude.  Entertainment was had by watching vehicles cross the bridge which is narrow, but wide enough for vehicles to cross, wide enough for motorhomes to cross, just.  The uphill approach is difficult if you aren't aware of how narrow it is.  Slow and steady is the order of the day.  Two motorhomes successfully crossed the bridge, with one being guided across.  Until tomorrow hoping for a better day, weather-wise.
