On My Doorstep

I went up to my patch this afternoon to see if any Winter Thrushes or Bramblings had arrived. No joy on that front, but I was astonished to see grassland fungi on an area where I hadn’t seen them before. There was also a large semi-circle of Clouded Funnels on the road verge.
Another bit of wildlife joy was a Goldcrest in the garden when I was doing the daily count. A thrilling garden first.
