Cathédrale de Bayeux

A very full day in Bayeux. The cathedral was incredible and we all loved the Bayeux tapestry - it's like watching a movie unfold as you walk along the various panels and follow the narrative! After lunch we visited the war museum and the fine arts museum, which had some beautiful displays of lace made in the area, a couple Caillebotte paintings (he had a cousin in Bayeux) and a few other majors pieces (Boucher, David, Gros). C and I picked up some fresh oysters and salmon terrine for dinner at a fishmonger on the long commercial street. Another very nice day!
