Where the oceans collide
Today we went further South. There we visited cape Leeuwin. It's named after a Dutch ship that went past the cape about 200 years ago.
On our way to cape Leeuwin we stopped for a short forest walk. On that walk we saw giant trees and a dead young kangaroo.
On cape Leeuwin we climbed the lighthouse with a tour guide. I took this picture from the top. Can you see those rocks in the centre? That's where the Southern Ocean (on the left) and the Indian Ocean (from the right) collide. The current comes from different directions (you can see it in the waves).
