Damn. 

I only have myself to blame.  I could have parked in a car park (which I didn't know was there to be fair), I could have checked the signs but I didn't.   

It's my first ticket for 30 years or more.  The last one was awarded for parking on a line outside a pet shop in Belvedere in Kent selling puppies (ye olden days).  I went in to gawp and stroke puppies.  Worth every penny.
