Very late post

I am posting this a day late and confess I have no photo for today , the 26th. This was shot in the very late afternoon as the sun was close to setting. I was running out of time and light and of course the jay would not cooperate by landing on the sunlit top of the tree , but landed in the more dappled light at the base of the tree. oh  well , best of the day.
 Today was a wash as we left early to head to my uncles to  supposedly to help with any chores , help him in and out of the shower , and start to try to arrange for some home help.Instead he wasn't feeling well and the cough he had last week was worse , though overall he was eating and drinking well, just felt tired and weaker than usual. His Dr had no openings and sent us to the walk in , which went way faster than expected. One negative covid test later , confirmation that his lungs were clear and a rsv and other virus swab taken  with results pending tomorrow we took him back home. He actually looked a little better. His nephew is going to stop in tomorrow and I am going to call daily and probably go down  Monday to take him to his brother's funeral .His brother passed away yesterday so my poor uncle is not having the best week. We did get a call in to a home care agency though and they are going to call me to try to set up a visit for assessing his needs . His is fortunate that he has the wherewithal to cover home care costs.The issue will be actually finding an aide.
