After all the near misses of the day before, three beezer events. First to the Photographers Gallery for a Chris Killip retrospective. Wonderful stuff. Then a sit in Berwick St for lunch and on to the Harold Pinter Theatre to see David Tennant in Good, the play by CP Taylor. Seats £140 each and it’ll be sold out till Christmas. There were however a tiny number of £20 standing tickets up at the back of the gods. What a great view!
Onward on the new Elizabeth Line to Woolwich where Punchdrunk were performing their vast immersive show, Burnt City. Vast! Immersive (I believe that’s the incorrect terminology but you wear a mask and go where you want - or you can follow the actors) and totally absorbing. I mean, in a tiny room, the SK’s attention was taken by a budgie cage, and the paper lining the bottom was the Troy times. Gotta love that. Utterly yowza.
