Continued lights

This is a recycled photo I took on the day of Diwali whilst walking back home. Purple lights on the tree looked pretty. Usually, people tend to keep the lights till Guru Nanak's birthday (the first Sikh guru). There is much less concern about energy than in the UK with the rise in prices.

Today was a strange dull day but invigorated by a PhD interview for a position I am interested. Professor seemed so lovely and friendly - he was new to the university I am (planning) to apply to but still seemed aware and generous to be interested in everything I like.

This was followed by coding to solve a problem that I have been struggling with, so I didn't get the opportunity to go out as promised (to myself).

Father continued his routine of abuses tonight - on my mother, of course., who cannot defend herself. With the few days of my leave remaining, I have questions to ask myself: What is that I want, and how is it that I do what I want to do whilst having such an environment that my father has created?
