1994: U.S. prison population exceeds one million
Quote Of The Day
"To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you."
(Lewis Smedes)
Surprisingly few photographs were taken today, the day when I used my birthday present from K and V; a pair of tickets to Universal Studios Japan. I chose today to use them because there are a lot of horror related special events at the moment celebrating Halloween. V accompanied me.
The Cult Of Chucky was gruesomely marvelous, a stroll through a mental hospital in which Chucky has murdered all the residents; except, that is, for the ones who have become completely insane and who jump out at you, scaring the bejeezus out of you. The head of a victim in a washroom sink, blood-drenched corpses hanging from the ceiling that you have to push out of your way as you walk down the corridor, and the chainsaw-wielding Chucky who chases you out of the building at the end were the highlights of this atttraction.
Legends Of Fear was a similar attraction but featuring Count Dracula, the Mummy, Frankenstein's Monster and the Werewolf as the characters who leap out and scare you. Not quite as scary as Cult Of Chucky, but heaps of fun nonetheless.
V and I both got to do our favourite things twice; The Flying Dinosaur being my favourite ride, and the Jujutsu Kaisen 4D movie being V's favourite. We also had plenty of time to do the Minions, Mario Kart, Spider-Man, Hollywood Dream, Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes rides and show.
Tremendous fun, and just the ticket for Halloween.
