Wild Wednesday ...

... catching peanuts!

As today is National Pumpkin day I naturally wanted to participate!  We had bought some small pumpkins (gourds really) on Saturday at Lyons Creek Farm so I put them out today.  My goal was either a squirrel or chipmunk but I'm super happy with this photo!  

When the blue jays take the peanuts they have the habit of tossing them in the air and catching them.  I didn't even know I had gotten the action until I had uploaded to my laptop!  Score!

I didn't actually see a chipmunk until much later in the afternoon ... close to 5 pm!  I've added an Extra photo of one in the early evening light.  It looks like she is sticking her tongue out at me!
