Mangais
Mangroves.
A slow, long afternoon of traipsing further up the coast than I’ve ever done on foot, reaching the mangrove area where the city of Maputo starts to peter out. Lots of rowdy groups of youths amusing themselves, people collecting critters from the sand to sell, couples having their engagement photos taken, beach volleyball matches in full swing, and hawkers peddling peanuts and crafts. The full gamut of Maputo life was on display en route to the mangroves.
A good way to spend a Sunday.
