My husband put up the pole for the front door curtains today. It necessitated lots of measuring and checking before holes were drilled. 
I ironed the curtains, I discovered that ironing eats electricity, the smart meter was hard at work. We threaded the curtains onto the pole and they look very smart especially when we pulled them this evening.
The sun came out at lunch time and it was quite warm. I scrubbed some of my pots and trays, all ready for next year. A quick walk into town to pick up a parcel. It’s still warm, the jet stream is in our favour.
