Sizergh Castle

I was due to meet JE in Elterwater for a walk in the Langdale Valley.  Set alarm, got up and dressed only to receive a text from her crying off the walk as the weather was grim but suggesting we met for coffee and cake instead.  So, we met at Low Sizergh Barn (which was really busy because of half term) and had a good catch up.  She has two teenage daughters and hearing some of the tales, I am glad I have boys!

From here I popped into Sizergh Castle for a quick walk around the grounds.  By now the rain had stopped and it was glorious sunshine.  Dahlias there in extras.
