Summer explosion

A quiet day today. A quick tidy round in the garden to make the table and chairs available for use after being covered all winter. A wash down and general spruce up.

Off then for a swim - first for a while. I didn't expect to get too far - 20 lengths was the limit today. Hopefully it will increase by ten lengths or so over the newt few visits.
Need to get my general fitness levels up. That should be a bit easier after wednesday when my new bike arrives. Then it will be off across the fields and bridleways and, stop at the pub by the canal. No No! Thats not right.... That's not the purpose of this getting fit drive.

After having cleaned the patio table and chairs this morning they were thrust into use for lunch - salad in the sunshine!

A few hours then trying to relax amongst the noise of power tools and mowers, and, at one point, the buzz from an aircraft that was doing lots of circuits. No idea why. I discovered that it was used in 2007 to over-fly the Man Utd training ground to get pictures of the players. Maybe they were all practicing in a neighbours garden.

Finally, the first BBQ of the year. Less meat and more salad!
