Everyday I Write The Book

Classic Pimms

Or rather Pimms with the classics, in this case Homer's Odyssey. TSM and I were doing quite well actually, sitting outside The Festival Hall and lowering the tone of the day with some spontaneous summer alcohol. Then The Dizzle turns up with his high brow reading and puts us to shame.

The South Bank was buzzing. Sat there for over two hours doing nothing except fighting off people who were pouncing like predators whenever there was sight of an empty chair. "No you can't have it. She's just gone to the loo. Why would I lie? I don't care if you've been timing it, she spends a long time in there and there's probably a queue. Try it if you're hard enough. Go sit in the plant pots. These are MY chairs. I may even take them home with me when we've finished our drinks ...."

Typical Yo Sushi lunch then popped into the NT later and bought tickets for One Man Two Guvnors at The Haymarket. Looking forward to that at the end of the month.

Great day. The Pimms says it all really. The Festival of Food was okay, bit meaty. But the people were so happy. The grassy area of Jubilee Gardens by the Millennium Wheel was one huge picnic.

A sunny May Bank Holiday. I believe in miracles ....
