A little colour …

Here’s some of the costumes that have been used in the Edinburgh Festival Carnival in previous years. They are on display at Ocean Terminal in the old Debenhams store, which is now a community hub.

It’s a shame there are so many empty shops in the shopping centre, but as was explained by one of the  still existing shop store managers, it’s a mixture of tram works, traffic congestion, and poor shopping centre planning and management.

I hear they are going to knock some of the shopping centre down and replace it with ‘apartments’ … that’s ‘flats’ to you and I.

Anyway, we were at the shopping centre seeing ‘Black Adam’ at the cinema, which was very entertaining. Shame it took us an hour and a half to get back from Leith to Musselburgh because of London Road being closed off from Leith Walk (we had already diverted from Leith, as it was gridlocked … ). Rant over.
