Goodbye Highlands
An early start this morning to head back to Lincs. The dawn over the Cromarty Firth from Evanton was lovely but the camera was packed and the phone didn’t do it justice. A few minutes later I pulled into the parking bay on the Cromarty Bridge and took this!
An average trip down, glorious in Scotland, rained as we headed to south Scotland and then pea souper fog over the A66. Someone possibly didn’t drive to the conditions as traffic came to a standstill as there was a crash. Thankfully although looked horrific they had managed to immediately unblock one Lane so that people could carefully pass. We were perhaps 10 mins off it! Looked like a van and possibly a horse / agricultural covered trailer.
Took us 9.5 hours to get home which is actually not bad for us!
