That time of year

The poppy sellers in Woking had a jeep and an armoured car to draw the crowds, which seemed to be working as their collecting tin was stuffed to the gills. I gave my annual donation and chatted to the guy in charge, who told me the history of the vehicles.

Look closely and you can see a post-it note on the jeep dashboard giving the gearbox configuration. Hilarious. 

We cleaned thoroughly downstairs today. Took two and a half hours. Place is now spotless.

TSM made a wicked Moroccan stew for supper. Then we watched Ant Man And The Wasp, which was great fun. Any movie where things get bigger and smaller is bound to be good. 

Two visits from The Dizzle and Ms R today, at either end of the day. Really nice. They seem to like hanging out with us older folk.

Weather continues to be freakishly warm for the time of year - in the low twenties again today.
