Passer domesticus

Better known as house sparrow. (I remember the Latin name since over 50 years. Because passer in Dutch means something totally different, namely pair of compasses. I always found that funny, somehow.)
We have a bird feeder next to our balcony. Currently it are the sparrows that frequent it, sometimes hordes. But as usual, not when I try to take a picture.
My blip of today was taken after three quarters of an hour of sitting patiently with my 4kg camera in my hands. (I thought of getting my tripod, but that would have made me less flexible, or I had to zoom out.)
Of this little bird I like the colouring, especially the throat.
