Broken Televisions

I helped my Mother in Law with her TV this morning, swapping out one that didn’t work for another one that has been in our loft for the last 5 years that used to belong to my Mom.

Afterwards I took her TV down to the civic amenity site, surprisingly quiet with just one other car off loading waste. I would normally expect a long queue of cars at the weekend. The TVs are stored in a large shipping container and this was the scene that welcomed me.

Later I watched the rugby international between Scotland and Australia, this time on Prime Video. It really is hard to keep up with the different suppliers of programmes. For a devoted sports fan it must cost a small fortune to cover all possible channels. Scotland lost out mainly due to the inability to kick their goals. You have to feel for their kicker who otherwise had a good day on the pitch, scoring an individual try to regain the lead in the second half.
