Visit to Penrith

I went out with my art group friends today. We started with a visit to the Upfront Gallery at Hutton in the Forest. It was the first day of an art exhibition and we enjoyed a variety of artworks, paintings, mixed media, pottery etc. then we went to Rheged in Penrith for lunch. As well as shops, there was a collection of photos from Amy Bateman, who we had seen at the Borderlines Book Festival earlier this month. The photos were so much better seen in real life. We were surprised at the cost of them! Needless to say that we didn’t buy any!
