Red Tree.

I have photographed this tree before, and it's not at its best.  It's already losing its pretty petals.

But when I was walking by it the other day, I noticed a local council worker taking photos of it.

I'm just hoping they are not planning to cut it down!

They've already talked about cutting down the Tulip trees, and the Jacaranda's, as well as this Flame tree.

They use the excuse that they are not native trees.  But it's really because they make a bit of a mess, when their flowers fall.

But it's only for a short time, and then the flowers get blown away.

I really hope they don't cut down our pretty trees, we don't have enough colour in our lives as it is.
