the final countdown

Nothing says 'summer is over' as clearly as emptying the pool and my neighbours using the water to scrub their rugs clean in warm October sunshine. 

For me, another quiet day in recovery mode. I am in considerable discomfort, and this means that, coupled with very long restless nights, I am too tired to do anything, but not tired enough to be able to sleep. 

Waiting for this to be over and normality to return. What ever that is.....


Today is a significant one for Turkey.  Republic Day is a public holiday in Turkey commemorating the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey, on 29 October 1923.
