The last flowers of autumn
We spent the day helping our daughter tidy the garden. We did three trips to the dump. emptied the shed, restowed it, manoeuvred her dinghy and it's trailer through the narrow gate to the back garden, emptied the summer bedding plants from umpteen pots and rounded the day off with a trip to the garden centre for something cheerful to put in the pots. Altogether satisfactory progress. Perhaps the extra hour in the day helped.
Our grandson came home from his Dad's full of birthday cake from his cousin's party and quite possibly full of fizzy sugary drinks. Right now he is singing in his bed and showing no signs of tiredness.
