Late developer

My cosmos were a total flop this year but subsequently I have had a few self seeders and this is the first one to flower today. It was rather windy out there.
Besides cleaning out the drains of leaves in front of the garages and picking up numerous twigs from the oak tree in our shared garden, I haven’t been out today. It’s been rather blustery but still warm. I managed to break the shredder this morning, too hasty apparently.
