Halloween sunset

The sun set dramatically, this Halloween, behind the roof of our neighbour's house. We've not seen or heard any 'trick or treat' activity in our street. Some years ago we were in a small town in Spain on this night. We encountered traffic jams around the cemetery as, it seemed, the entire population came with bunches of flowers to remember their ancestors. It seemed so much more meaningful than what we experience, on this day, in the English-speaking world.
