Loch Lomond from Balmaha
We went for a day out today, it being bank holiday and all. We used to go to the east side of Loch Lomond fairly regularly and walk up Conic Hill, and we thought we might do that again today. However as we turned off from Stirling the weather began to close in and by the time we got past Drymen the mist was down and all the tops of the hill shrouded. This of course meant that the atmosphere quotient for photography increased in direct proportion to the decreasing likelihood of walking up hills. In fact it's been an absolute feast for photos today and I've had a hard choice to make over which one to post (see another contender HERE.). So I went for the minimalist tree shot against the mist. Believe it or not this photo is in colour - the lights of some gorse are just visible bottom right. We had a lovely day out, and the sun was shining to welcome us home.
