Timber!!!!

Last year a good strong westerly gale cracked the top of this 40ft pine.  I sort of pretended it hadn't happened.  Then MrsDB made me call the tree man, he came and took a look and did some measurements telling me if it comes down it will either crush a car or depending on which way it falls, flatten one of the roofs.  Drastic action was needed but we didn't want to take the tree out completely.  Today we saved its life.  It's now 15 feet high.
