Is this a tarn . . .

or a swan/coot/duck pond?


The decorator arrived at 8 again. As he was going to be in the hall for the first part of the morning I decided to go out.

Via Windermere for breakfast to Bowness. From leaving home I must have changed my mind 4 times about where I was going. Finally I set off along the Dales Way to find an unnamed area of water as shown in the extra (along with a red arrow on the screenshot to show I was there).

On the way back in a nearby field was a young swan. Perhaps the parents had decided it was time for it to leave home.
