How did it get …
… right up there?
We walked close by the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial with our walking group this morning and saw this Norfolk pine with a road cone right up on top. Possibly a cherry picker was being used to trim the tree, which gave someone the opportunity, or someone took their life in their hands and climbed up. We’ll probably never know.
After walking group we went back to the Memorial and dug up four Iceland Poppy plants, which we brought home and Mr MacD planted in our garden. The Council had offered residents the opportunity to take plants that were being dug out so the beds could be replanted. Such a good idea.
I also had Pilates, an email from the travel agent about our possible trip to Europe and the UK next year to mull over, and we went on a walk with our Auckland Joggers walking pack that included going up One Tree Hill twice. It was easier the second time! Altogether, we walked 12.5 Kms today.
It was a beautiful sunny day, with the temperature gauge in the car showing 23C for the second day in a row.
