Boo!
Hallowe'en and a stream of cute little goblins, fairies, firemen, cats, clowns, and babes in parents' arms knocking at the door...with little buckets already brimming with treats....A few young teens in face paint too..offering smiles and a willingness to chat...a very pleasant hour and a half, spent with my neighbour Elaine. She brings her treat bags over to my house to greet the goblins here, as her dog would go crazy with all those unexpected visitors; so we have a good visit too.. munching on mini chocolate bars between door knocks..
My main mission for the day was to winterize the hall closet..which meant unpacking all those scarves, hats and gloves from storage and finding space for them in the limited space in that closet! (extra) Of course, it also meant finding somewhere to store all the fair-weather shoes and jackets that had to be taken out of that closet! The space formerly occupied by those winter scarves etc is no longer available..it is now taken up by the white slipcovers! I have finally removed them from the furniture, washed them and am going to try stashing them for the winter.. the longer I can avoid putting them back on the furniture the better.. it is a hellish task! Meanwhile, I am still searching for an empty space for summer shoes and jackets...
So, the last day of October has arrived and will soon be gone ...It has been a spectacular October colour-wise...a beautiful autumn. Now, here comes November..and I am trying really hard - struggling - to think of the good things November brings...hmmm..Tomorrow, I will start a list...
