Wet leaves

It was pouring with rain this morning. I started off with a run on the treadmill - aargh, hard to get back to it after an absence due to our holiday. While going on safari is such a thrilling holiday it is possibly the most inactive holiday you can have, as you are not free to walk anywhere and all you do is sit and then eat.

In the pouring rain the window cleaner arrived to clean the windows :(  rather bad timing! Then the plumber came to repair the leak in the pipes but its more complicated than initially thought so instead of cutting out the ceiling in the adjoining room (our TV lounge) to access the pipe which he could not access from the boiler room (where there is already a square cut out of the ceiling to access the pipes), he decided to rather come back with his partner another time and attempt to solder the leaking pipe, but it's a two man job so needs his partner. 

I managed to walk Xena in between the showers, and we actually had some sunshine. I got back in time for the vehicle recovery service who were coming to sort Gavin's electric car, as the battery had gone dead while we were away and so the entire system shut down and you cannot even open the doors or open the charging point flap. They had a special battery to give it enough charge to be able to start the car and start the system again so then I could charge it.

I did not have much time for photos today. I was also working on photos to upload for our next camera club competition. Now to face that big pile of ironing...
