Church coffee morning

I drove mum & dad to the church coffee morning in the village where they used to live. The pews have all been removed on one side of the church, and tables, chairs and a small kitchen installed. Apparently they aren’t allowed to have a dishwasher due to the fact that it’s a listed building. Seems a crazy rule, but as the roof is leaking, and they can’t afford heating, that may be the least of their problems.
There was lots of cake, but I resisted!
