Sleeping Bee

Local temps dropped almost 20 degrees today. Cloudy, intermittent rain, windy. I found this little guy all tucked inside this closed poppy. The poppies close up when it's late in the day. I wonder if this guy found a warm place and decided to take a nap while gathering pollen, or did he get trapped when the poppy closed its petals? I'll keep an eye on this to make sure the bee survives (if he's still alive). I decided not to mess with him as I know how I get when I'm woken from a nap...
