Keyring

Woodwork week 3 : for some of us, the course veered even further away from actual woodwork as the technician was in to show us the technology available in the department. It was fascinating to see a 3D printer in action and then get to use (well press the green button) a laser printer and produce a little keyring. The younger members of the class went back to making their clock, the new technology is probably old hat to them!
The extra shows the 3D printer in action creating a model of Mickey Mouse in a Star Wars storm trooper helmet chosen by the technician, having never seen one of these machines in action, it was amazing to watch.
