Tiny Seedhead

I was going to do a macro of the veins in a leaf until I spotted this tiny (~1 cm) seedhead shining in the sun.  I'm not sure what it is, but it's most likely a weed.  Many thanks to davidc for hosting Tiny Tuesday's this month!

Becky left early this morning on a business trip and Darrin went back up to meet his hunting party for the rest of the week.  It's only about an hour away, so he came home for Halloween, so he could be outside to greet all the Trick or Treaters.  Their block is always very decorated - almost every house - and people come from other neighborhoods to see it.  D said they had about 200 people during the evening.  He got lots of compliments on his decorations, so he was beaming when I asked. :-)

So....because they're both gone, we're on granddog duty again.  D dropped them off on his way to the mountains and they're happily annoying Piper in the backyard.  After dinner, I'll take them home and spend the night there with them.  We'll come back to our home in the morning and spend the day, and then PD will spend the night with them tomorrow night.  Becky will be back on Thursday afternoon, so it's only two nights.  Doing it this way worked well the last time.  If they stay here at night, nobody sleeps!

I am grateful that we can help them out, so they don't have to worry about the boys. :-)
