A Day Late

Claude and Connie Crane were combing the ground for anything that the kiddies dropped, but they kept glancing at the front door of the house. Finally, they could hold it in no more.

CLAUDE: "I know that we don't have any handies,
but why can't we get some passed-out candies?"

CONNIE: "I know that the grubs and worms are good meat,
but why can't we get any sweet treats?"

CLAUDE: "I know that we aren't a cute girl and boy,
but why can't we get an Almond Joy?"

CONNIE: "OPEN THE DOOR! GIVE US CANDY IN A CUP!
BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T, WE'RE GONNA PECK YOUR BLOW-UP!"
