Apple chutney in the raw

Inspired by the bear’s recent chutney makers post I got my cooking apples out of storage. I picked them early before I went to Spain at the start of September. This recipe looks a bit like mincemeat but of course has vinegar in it. And it’s so easy - you just chop and mix all the ingredients, leave in the bowl to meld and for the dried fruit to absorb the liquid then put I jars. It stores and matures well too. No stinking out the kitchen boiling up chutney.
