Only in America?
We split into different groups today as we wanted to visit different theme parks. Yes I succumbed to pressure from Mr & Miss PHL and we headed to Epcot. We timed our arrival well and were there just after opening and got parked in row 8 of the nearest car park to the entrance.
Our plan was to try and hit the popular rides first and we did pretty well. Soaring was quiet so we got straight on and blagged took row again so no dangling feet to mar the view. Over to France for Reme’s Ratatouille ride which was fabulous. Back to the Living with the land gentle glide through the greenhouses followed by Nemo. I love sitting in the little clamshell cars, brings out my inner child!
We bought extra passes to get us into the newest ride Guardians of the Galaxy and whilst we waited for our time slot we travelled to the future in Spaceship Earth. Disappointingly our postcard from the future is lost in space.
On to Guardians which was way more of a roller coaster experience than I had anticipated but wow, what a ride. Twisting and turning, backwards and forwards in the dark, I haven’t had that much fun for ages.
A quick mission round the earth in Mission Space and we headed for Mexico to start our journey through the countries and eat the delicious food provided by all the food stalls as part of the Food and Wine festival. Ate far too much but really enjoyed it and clicked up almost 19000 steps over the course of the day.
Back to the villa to shower and relax before heading to Red Lobster with M’s best man and other friend. It was delicious seafood and chilled wine. A nice way to round off the day. Earlyish to bed as big day tomorrow.
Spotted the billboard as we left the restaurant. Not sure machine gunning is my idea of family fun but each to their own.
Backblipped Wednesday (wedding day) for Tuesday. Apologies for lack of commenting, there not many opportunities to sit and browse through blip.
Edited to post on the 1st when this was actually taken!
