Wet and Wild Wednesday!

The weather has been absolutely wicked today. I’ve spent today resting, reading, doing crossword puzzles and German revision lessons on Duolingo.

They’ve changed the dashboard on Duolingo which I’m not too fond of but I guess I will adapt to it, I wish they would leave things alone sometimes. I thought it was perfectly useable as it was.

Today’s Blip is of the pattern on my Mum’s specs case, she’s had new specs for a couple of months and I really love the design so thought I’d Blip it!

The case itself is totally impractical and doesn’t hold her specs well - a classic case of style over substance if you’ll pardon my cringeworthy pun!

I made some Minestrone soup today (see extra) as I am freezing with this wet and damp weather. Binge watched a couple of episodes of River City to catch up over lunch.

Going to try and do some work on some poems I have been attempting to draft tonight and read some of my novel before bed. Still reading The Black Dog by Kevin Bridges. I’m having an early night.

Rolled my eyes at today’s announcement that the PM will now attend COP27 - the first U-turn of the Sunak led government? He should have jumped at the chance to attend from the get go.

I do wonder if he’s attending to keep an eye on the antics of Boris, who apparently confirmed he was attending the other day! Mmm…
