WIDE WEDNESDAY X 3 - AND HOME AGAIN!

After our mini break in Woolacombe, we are safely home again, and Mr. HCB very kindly took me out for a meal late this afternoon so I didn’t have to worry about buying in provisions and start cooking - he is a star!

My collage today shows a last shot of the view from our room - the top photograph - and then as we drove back, we stayed on B roads for a lot of the journey.  On the road to Simonsbath, crossing Exmoor, we saw lots of sheep being herded into a pen by a shepherd with a high viz jacket - not often you see that, so I decided to take a wide shot of that too.  The third shot was taken as we drove down a road towards Exford again crossing Exmoor where the autumnal colours were looking good.  A much better route than being on the motorway - although it took us a while longer, it was much more peaceful and we found a little pub where we had a cup of coffee before we carried on to the motorway.

Once we got on the motorway - and Mrs. Satnag was “off the wall” about that and kept telling us to head towards the M5 when we were already on there - it was mad with lots of lorries and the usual idiots who think that driving almost in your boot is the norm - so we were pleased we had had a peaceful earlier part of our journey.

So our mini break is over and now I need to get the leading of the Remembrance Service at Church and also my Presentation sorted, and tomorrow is iCafé at the Church, so back to being busy again, which is how I like it.  No doubt Mr. HCB will be in the garden tomorrow, if the rain holds off, but at least we are feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Thank you for your understanding about me not commenting - but sometimes it is good to have a complete break and I’m sure you will all agree with that.

We did wonder why our clothes seemed a little "snug" and thought the sea air had shrunk some of them, but if you look at the extra, you will see the wonderful food we have been eating - aha - that's obviously the reason!

P.S.  I see that this doesn't fit the criteria for the Wide Wednesday challenge - but hey, I've been "pinking" all October, so am just glad to take part in this challenge, although structural or geometric it ain't!
