Buffet line is open

Halloween must be deer’s favorite season: almost every doorstep is offering up pumpkins and deer started eating them as soon as people put them out — decorations and all. They are such a nuisance and way overpopulated here.

I switched to small, decorative gourds this year: they are hard as rock and not even squirrels are interested in them :)
