Windfall
Started the day well with a £225 win on Premium Bonds! More amazingly, A, who’d had to withdraw all her savings from her PBs for the mortgage payment today, also won £200! She was so excited, and immediately ordered the kettle she’d had her eye on but felt was too much of an indulgence.
I didn’t have long to savour the moment as had to be at Aquafit at 8am, but once home I celebrated with a coffee and a Portuguese custard tart (I know how to live!)
Spent the morning ironing and having a tidy up then the afternoon, as the wind picked up further and the rain lashed down outside, I worked on collating all the notes from the 1-2-1 chats I’ve been having over the last month or so and planning out changes I’d like to make. Ended up getting quite absorbed by it all.
Got changed and set off down to the Parliament for a reception to celebrate 175 years of the RCS. Delayed start but chatted to a wide range of people and enjoyed the performances and speeches. Afterwards over to DH's with VickyG for a very convivial supper. chatted about schools, carpentry, unis, the pandemic, spaniels, viola playing and house renovations.
Good day, despite the filthy weather!
