Looking towards...

This photo was taken this morning from the Embleton Spa Hotel where the 'Ibuprofen Gang' meet after our U3A Digital Photo meeting.  Our small gang was reduced in number as three were away on holiday.  Looking towards Skiddaw there was this watery sun shining on the lower slopes.  Compared with the relative 'dull' rest of the scene it was wanting to be photographed.  Sitting have coffee and biscuit (the waitress always looks after us) this scene changed to dark rain clouds followed by a short violent shower.  My journey back home was interrupted by heavy rain, hail and in places floods as water teemed from the fields.  From then on it was a lovely (cool) autumn day.
