I'd never been to the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, but  it's surprisingly close in, and with Barb driving, quite easy to get to. It's one of about 100 urban wildlife refuges in the nation, so important to have these places. You can walk on trails or just lean against the railing at the visitor center to see many waterfowl.
